We live on the property, up the hill in our own house. We organised a weekend to Strath Creek, where we had most guests arrive on Saturday to play a game of cricket and enjoy the surrounds and picnic areas. You'll also need to bring your own towels. We felt like we belonged right from the start with the quick cricket tour. It has a deck with a beautiful view of the rolling hills, and we spent a lot of time on the deck. It's so close to the city, but was the perfect weekend getaway. There is hardly any reception there, which we actually enjoyed. Bunkhouse could get bit hot during summer. Showering would take longer than expect as only one person could shower at a time as water pressure was not quite adequate to utilise both bathrooms. Wonderful experience and hope to return in the future. We ran everyone up the mountain on a couple of occasions for a spectacular view out over Strath Creek and beyond. From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, our host was fantastic. We're a perfect base for families and large groups - we can accommodate up to 26! Everyone had a great time. Our hosts, John and Ros, were very helpful and flexible with accomodation options. The entire Bunkhouse will be yours for the duration, and you're free to wander over the property. We'll be happy to come and say hello and welcome you to our property, but it's your holiday and we won't interrupt!
